It’s funny how being freelancer changes your attitude towards work. Radically.
- the workweek is not defined by mon-fri, but by the work that’s at hand.
- holiday is extra-precious, because you know, to the euro, how much it costs you
- and getting sick is not done. anything that will help not to get sick will ruthlessly be exploited. Vitamins, paracetamol, witchcraft, whatever works.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t always work. So you try to quarantine downtime to say, saturday and sunday, or periods that are unemployed anyhow. Crossing fingers.
Consultants, contractors, freelancers can’t always have the sunny side of work …
never said they should ! it’s just funny to see both sides of the story, like i did.
and now i answered your comment
Witchcraft? Don’t tell me you’re also putting garlic in your ear…
WHATEVER works. oh, do you know a spell that involves garlic in your ear ?
I like the word for this: presenteism.
“garlic in your ear”. Hrm.
I guess I don’t want to meet with you just /after/ you were sick
@mark good one
@Wouter that’s philip trick, i’ve not heard of that particular technique
