Peter Vandenabeele notified me that some evil spam had crept into my feed, and into the planets. I’m very sorry about this !
So tonight i finally upgraded my Wordpress. Since last upgrade attempt pretty much failed, i wasn’t looking forward to it, but everything went smooth as butter.
You’ll notice i added pretty permalinks, and also access to the comments rss in the margin.
And hopefully, until the dregs of internet hire teams of cheap indian software geniuses to crack current versions of Wordpress, you’ll be free of the stuff in the title.
I find it helpful to have my blog “engine” email new comments to me. I have a questionable shell script that kicks in whenever a comment triggers bogofilter which moves the comment from the comment directory to /tmp.
Of course, simple solutions like this only work on simple blog engines which use the Only Real Database: the filesystem, instead of complicated things which torture your data in squeel databases…
Though I’m sure a complicated solution to the simple problem exists too.
it was not a comment (which i see too), but a series of url embedded in my feed.
there’s also the fact that the rarer the blog engine, the lesser the probability that someone will try to crack it.
So ideally i should write my own. On the other hands, there’s more interesting things to do, and Wordpress really offers some other advantages. Really
Another victim I can add to my list
.
OK, links are stripped out: I meant this:
