Slowly recovering from last night’s session. I’m not worth much (insert whining about old age here). I fired up Netbeans, but closed it promptly again. Trying to read up on technical subjects resulted in staring at the title for a whole minute.
So maybe i’ll do a no-brainer: New Year resolutions.
Professional:
- Improve my technical expertise. For a change. In scope: Ruby and Rails, security, distributed systems.
- scope out possibilities of using AI to help businesses. Dig up my courses and technical articles on different techniques.
- (projects that will be disclosed later this year)
Personal:
- pick up either jazz singing or wood working
- overcome shyness: look people in the eye, and never hesitate to start a conversation
- call a friend every week. It’s so easy to lose touch
- go on holiday in a foreign country, and Germany, France, Luxemburg and UK don’t count.
- keep this blog alive and kicking, and if possible interesting. Regular postings with a half-decent level.
That’s the tricky thing about putting those things in writing AND in a public place. I usually forget about New Year’s resolutions by the second week of january.
In a year, if this blog still goes, i can actually check off the objectives … or not. Game on.
What about Spain for holidays?
@zugaldia : Spain sounds good
Happy New Year!
