Lifehacker has a look at Firefox 3.0. On my desktops (Linux and Windows) Firefox 2(.0.0.8) is getting more and more unstable: it crashes on a regular basis. What’s your impression ?
Plugins tend to destabilize Firefox, in my experience.
But Windows? What is that?
2.0.0.8 introduced a number of regressions which should be fixed with 2.0.0.9 which was released recently. and indeed, disable as many plugins as possible, check out this page for more info on misbehaving extensions: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problematic_extensions

should upgrade to 2.0.0.9 and hope that will fix e.g. the firebug extention
